The Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the North Lenoir Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North Lenoir took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wallace-Rose Hill, who comes in off a win.
Wallace-Rose Hill had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their match on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 54-22 win over South Lenoir. The victory was just what Wallace-Rose Hill needed coming off of a 67-45 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wallace-Rose Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amir Moore, who scored 11 points. Jamarae Lamb was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, North Lenoir took a serious blow against the Stallions on Tuesday, falling 91-54. While losing is never fun, North Lenoir can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 475th, while the Stallions are ranked 193rd).
Wallace-Rose Hill's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North Lenoir, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Wallace-Rose Hill beat the Hawks 52-40 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wallace-Rose Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
