The Lake Roosevelt Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Tonasket Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Lake Roosevelt is ranked 234th, while Tonasket is ranked 253rd).
Lake Roosevelt had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 20-8 win over Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna/Kahlotus on Friday. The win was just what Lake Roosevelt needed coming off of a 47-0 defeat in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Wyatt Egbert, who threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt. Chase Marchand also helped out with an impressive 117 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Tonasket pushed their score all the way to 33 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 69-33 defeat at the hands of Brewster. Tonasket's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it six in a row.
Lake Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Tonasket, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Lake Roosevelt against Tonasket in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 41-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Roosevelt since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
