The Perry Central Commodores pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Northeast Dubois by a score of 68-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), Perry Central still had to take the loss.
Northeast Dubois' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Goller, who scored 26 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Goller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Dooley, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds.
Perry Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Northeast Dubois, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Perry Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-45 defeat vs. North Posey on the 10th. Northeast Dubois will head out on the road to square off against North Daviess at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
