Sutherland's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Kimball Longhorns with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Sailors haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Sutherland never let Kimball on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-20, 25-23.

Sutherland's victory bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Kimball, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sutherland will take on Maywood/Hayes Center on Tuesday. As for Kimball, they will venture away from home to square off against Paxton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
