Tse' Yi' Gai was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes. One positive for the Dine Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Tse' Yi' Gai's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LaDainian Werito, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marshall Chaco, who put up 12 points.

Tse' Yi' Gai's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Tse' Yi' Gai will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will challenge Socorro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
