Universal Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Sarasota Christian Blazers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Universal Academy came up short against Classical Prep and fell 56-44.
Meanwhile, Sarasota Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Manatee on Friday, taking the game 58-50.
Sarasota Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ben Milliken, who scored 25 points. Matthias Hulka was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Universal Academy's defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Sarasota Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Universal Academy won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, slipping by Sarasota Christian 66-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Universal Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
