Hillcrest had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 win over the Pickett County Bobcats on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

Ja'Coby Lewis was his usual excellent self, shooting 90% from the field to rack up 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Morgan, who posted 15 points and five boards.

Hillcrest's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Pickett County, they moved to 25-7 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will square off against Wayne County on Friday. Wayne County will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Hillcrest surely won't give up without a fight. Pickett County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
