Softball Recap: Hersey Has No Trouble Against Buffalo Grove

Hersey barely beat Buffalo Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies blew past the Bison 11-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Huskies have won ten contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hersey pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Buffalo Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Hersey will square off against Wheeling at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.95 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Buffalo Grove, they will be playing at home against Rolling Meadows at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
