The Houston Mustangs entered their tilt with the Collierville Dragons with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Houston took down Collierville 42-28 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Houston also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Houston's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damon Sisa, who rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Andre Allen, who picked up 168 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Glover, who threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Houston's win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.9 points per game. As for Collierville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Houston will be playing in front of their home fans against Dickson County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickson County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Collierville, they will head out on the road to face off against Clarksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
