Sydney Terrell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Morgan Robinson and Ehren Guidroz did most of the damage at the plate: Robinson went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double, while Guidroz went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Guidroz has posted since back in March of 2024. Sydni Jones also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Natchitoches Central lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Lafayette Christian Academy as Notre Dame made off with a 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Bella Smith looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Keagan Valdetero, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Ava Yates was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Notre Dame pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Natchitoches Central, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-10.
