The Seagoville Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Samuell Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Samuell took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Seagoville, who comes in off a win.
After only 25 points in their last game, Seagoville made sure to put some points up on the board against Conrad on Friday. Seagoville walked away with a 55-43 victory over Conrad.
Among those leading the charge was Jai White, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antaijha Brown, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Samuell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Poteet, falling 65-4. While losing is never fun, Samuell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1590th, while Poteet is ranked 450th).
Seagoville pushed their record up to 12-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Samuell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Everything came up roses for Seagoville against Samuell in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 50-12 victory. Does Seagoville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Samuell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
