Caliche is 0-10 against Fleming since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Caliche Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Fleming Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Caliche focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Caliche was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-36 to Prairie.
The losing side was boosted by Karsyn Huss, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. She scored a full 36.1% of Caliche's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Fleming gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 win over Haxtun.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Caliche came up short against Fleming when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 47-36. Thankfully for Caliche, Kally Kirkwood (who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
