It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Locust Grove can now relate to. They took a hard 50-31 fall against the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs on Friday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their 25-game winning streak.

Locust Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tatum Stokes, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Stokes, who scored eight points and four steals.

Audrey Hopkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln Christian, shooting 83% from the field en route to 13 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Hopkins now owns an excellent 40.3% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Azariah Woodruff, who had eight points.

Locust Grove's loss dropped their record down to 26-2. As for Lincoln Christian, the victory was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-2.

Locust Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 39-36 win against Douglass on the 15th.
