The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rowland, who took down 203rd ranked Diamond Ranch, 23-16.
Bonita extended the longest winning streak in Hacienda this week by beating Los Altos, 35-31. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Walnut's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Siete threw for 152 and two touchdowns and Kyle Parisi had 126 yards receiving. On the ground Robert Gonzalez chipped in 246 yards. Cody Lepp helped Walnut's passing attack out by catching one ball for 17 yards.
Diamond Bar's Tyler Peterson and Kanya Bell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Peterson has thrown for 1740 yards this season, while Bell, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 36 catches for 676 yards. The Mustangs' Gonzalez leads the league in rushing yards with 1141.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Bonita takes on the Panthers. Adrian Medrano's team's offense has scored 289 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Diamond Ranch has allowed only 160 on the year.
A big matchup in Hacienda this week will be when the Bearcats take on Roddy Layton's team. At the moment, Bonita is in third, while the Panthers are in second.
The Raiders moved up to 330 from 397 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Rowland climbed the ranks as a result of topping Diamond Ranch 23-16.
