Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, First Assembly Christian turned things around against Liberty Tech Magnet last Saturday. Banks wasn't the only one working in the assists department: First Assembly Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lausanne Collegiate ended up a good deal behind Christian Brothers on Tuesday and lost 64-47. While losing is never fun, the Lynx can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Purple Wave are ranked 40th).
First Assembly Christian will have to keep a close watch on Zuri Mcclure and Marion Brewer, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lausanne Collegiate's prior game. Mcclure went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points, while Brewer went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Brewer a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailan Jackson, who posted six points.
