They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 win over the Sunnyside Blue Devils. The victory was nothing new for the Rangers as they're now sitting on five straight.
Rincon/University's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leila O'Dowd, who posted 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. O'Dowd is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Daphne Safo, who had eight points and 14 boards.
Rincon/University smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.
