The Indian Rocks Christian Eagles lost against the Seminole Warhawks back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Indian Rocks Christian took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seminole. Indian Rocks Christian has not had much luck with Seminole recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Indian Rocks Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Kayleigh Atkinson and Malia Stevens. Atkinson scored 12 points, while Stevens scored 15 points.
Laney Pearson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Seminole, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Pearson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Follett, who scored 12 points.
Indian Rocks Christian now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Seminole, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Rocks Christian will take on Keswick Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keswick Christian will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Seminole, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tarpon Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
