Crown Point is 3-0 against Lake Station Edison since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Crown Point Bulldogs' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Crown Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Crown Point was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-49 to Penn.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ava Ziolkowski, who scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rae Holok, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Lake Station Edison put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Griffith 62-24 on the road. Given Lake Station Edison's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Griffith is ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Crown Point to 7-4 and Penn to 6-3.
Crown Point beat Lake Station Edison 60-49 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lake Station Edison's Tranika Randolph, who scored 23 points. Now that she won't be playing on Monday, will it be that much easier for Crown Point to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
