After flying high against the Vega Longhorns last Tuesday, the Dalhart Wolves came back down to earth. Dalhart's rough 54-31 defeat to Farwell on Monday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Dalhart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Farwell is ranked 62nd).
Makylee Baldwin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Farwell, scoring 16 points. The game was Baldwin's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Richey, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dalhart's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Farwell, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Dalhart and Reagan County will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th at. Farwell is on the road again on Thursday and play against Tascosa at 2:15 p.m. on December 21st.
