Softball Game Preview: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs vs. La Sierra Academy Knights

For the second straight game, California School for the Deaf-Riverside will face off against La Sierra Academy. The Cubs will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Knights at 3:00 p.m. California School for the Deaf-Riverside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, California School for the Deaf-Riverside turned things around against La Sierra Academy on Thursday. They blew past the Knights 25-8. The Cubs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd.

Brittany Rivera was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (four). Jazzel Diaz-Sandoval was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
