Trinity has gone a perfect 10-0 against Camp Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Trinity will head out on the road to square off against Camp Hill at 4:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Trinity barely beat East Pennsboro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Trinity's pitcher stepped up to hand East Pennsboro a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Shamrocks this season.
Landry Murray looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That hit was her first of the season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Taylor Lawrence, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Avery Robell was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Pennsboro only posted an OBP of .100.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Camp Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Susquehanna Township on Tuesday. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Camp Hill got a massive performance out of Lindsay Johnson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Payton Beck, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Trinity now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Camp Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Trinity hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Camp Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .371. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Trinity's way against Camp Hill when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Trinity made off with a 20-0 win. Will Trinity repeat their success, or does Camp Hill has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
