After a string of four wins, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 90-79 hit to the loss column at the hands of Constitution. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech still got an impressive performance from Jarrell Little, who scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Little has scored all season. Zachary Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Kyree Latimer was his usual excellent self, shooting 7-for-11 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 40 points and ten rebounds for Constitution. Latimer has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Speights, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Constitution, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Overbrook at 3:15 p.m. on January 26th. Constitution will take on Abraham Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Abraham Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 299th, while Constitution is ranked 37th).
