Longmeadow had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 2-1 to make it six. They managed a 40-35 win over the Nashoba Regional Wolves. Despite the loss, Nashoba Regional still got an impressive performance from Dylan Devine, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Jacob Burke, who rushed for 62 yards and one score on only eight carries.
Looking ahead, Longmeadow will take on Putnam Vo-Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nashoba Regional, they will square off against Maynard at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
