Stanwood is on an eight-game streak of home wins, while Snohomish is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Spartans will host the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Stanwood 3.4, Snohomish 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Stanwood will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Everett, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Spartans' pitcher stepped up to hand the Seagulls a 3-0 shutout on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Seagulls: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Addison Anderson's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Reagan Ryan was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Snohomish made easy work of Marysville Getchell on Monday and carried off an 8-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Abby Edwards's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hannah Siegler, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Maddy Larsen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Snohomish always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marysville Getchell only posted an OBP of .179.
Snohomish's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Stanwood, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Stanwood has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Snohomish struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stanwood might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Snohomish when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the Spartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
