Logan Hicks Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Columbia's Logan Hicks, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Hicks rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Columbia's success: when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

This year, Ellis has averaged 3.3 total tackles per game and for the season has 2 interceptions. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 66.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 123.33 rushing yards.

Mason Voegele Makes It Two for Columbia
Another Columbia player making an appearance on this list is Mason Voegele. He threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Baker Posts Huge Game in 49-7 Win
Preston Baker's big game helped extend Breese Central's winning streak to six on Friday. Salem had no answer to Baker as he threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Baker is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Baker might just drop another big game when he faces off against Roxana on Friday. When Baker last faced the Shells back in October of 2023, he threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
