Basketball Recap: Gentry's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Gentry entered their tilt with Green Forest on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Green Forest Tigers 73-70. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Green Forest still got an impressive performance from Zak Watson, who went 7 of 12 en route to 19 points. That's the most points Watson has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jace Meador, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Gentry now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Green Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Gentry will head out to take on Pea Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gentry has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three contests. Green Forest and Huntsville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Huntsville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Green Forest surely won't give up without a fight.
