There's no place like home for the Layton Christian Academy Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They secured a 50-45 W over Mountain Crest on Tuesday.
Layton Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asmin Tanhan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tanhan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica McKain, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Layton Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Mountain Crest, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Layton Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Green Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Green Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. Mountain Crest will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Bonneville at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Bonneville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Wednesday.
