Stone Memorial hadn't done well against Cookeville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Stone Memorial came out on top against Cookeville by a score of 13-10. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Cole Hinch was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Tanner Bowman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Stone Memorial hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win (which was Stone Memorial's third in a row) raised their record to 5-6. Looking ahead, Stone Memorial will challenge Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cookeville, they will face off against Rockvale at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rockvale has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something Cookeville will no doubt try to take advantage of.
