Neuse Charter and Rosewood are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2022, but not for long. The Cougars will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neuse Charter will be strutting in after a victory while Rosewood will be coming in after a loss.
On Thursday, Neuse Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Raleigh Charter, taking the game 3-1.
The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Neuse Charter can attribute much of their success to Mikayla Leonard, who had eight digs and two aces, and McKenzie Ward, who had nine kills, eight digs, two blocks, and two aces. Ward is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Rosewood's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hobbton.
While Rosewood ultimately came up short, they really made Hobbton work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20.
Neuse Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Rosewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Neuse Charter might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Rosewood in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
