Tri-State Christian has been on the road for five straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on Calvary Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri-State Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 184th in Maryland, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 40th in Delaware).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-22, which was the final score in Tri-State Christian's tilt against Tower Hill on January 3rd.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Faith Baptist School on Thursday, taking the game 34-27.
Calvary Christian Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sadie Fournier, who scored ten points along with three steals and two blocks, and Diaya Armantrading, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Armantrading has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Malinky (HS), who scored five points along with five steals.
Tri-State Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Tri-State Christian against Calvary Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2017 as the squad secured a 33-6 win. Will Tri-State Christian repeat their success, or does Calvary Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
