Ithaca (Mich.) put an additional 14 points on the board on top of its 38-point lead going into the fourth quarter to beat out St. Charles (Mich.) 52-0.
The Yellowjackets were up 31-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Travis Smith touchdown pass to
Markes Gadlen in the first quarter.
Ithaca expanded its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. IHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by Smith to
Zach Allen.
With the win the Yellowjackets extended their winning streak to seven games. Ithaca defeated the Cavaliers 33-21 last week.
Bryan Shaw was the top performer for IHS. The junior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.
The Yellowjackets went into the matchup giving up only 6.8 points per game. The Bulldogs' zero points were well below their season average of 13.8 per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 27-6 win for Ithaca.
The loss comes after St. Charles defeated Breckenridge 20-14 last week. The loss snapped St. Charles' 2-game winning streak.
In a Tri-Valley - West game next week Ithaca (7-0) takes on St. Louis, and St. Charles (3-4) will go up against Carrollton also in a Tri-Valley - West game.
