The Esparto Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over San Juan. The win was some much needed relief for Esparto as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Antonio Seastrunk Jr., who scored 32 points along with four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Angel Torres, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Esparto's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-19. As for San Juan, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-18.
Esparto will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Juan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Golden Sierra and the Spartans are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
