Bessemer Academy strolled past Valiant Cross Academy with points to spare, taking the game 31-12.
Bessemer Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyseon Smith, who rushed for 111 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Joey Harmon was in the mix too, providing Bessemer Academy with two touchdowns.
Bessemer Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Valiant Cross Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Bessemer Academy will be playing at home against Cornerstone Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cornerstone Christian is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. Valiant Cross Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
