Canyon del Oro has gone a perfect 6-0 against Marana recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Canyon del Oro will host Marana at 4:00 p.m. Canyon del Oro will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Canyon del Oro is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Maricopa a 14-0 shutout on Tuesday. With that win, the Dorados brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

At the plate, Francisco Rivero was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of David Adams, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Canyon del Oro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Marana made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sabino on Tuesday. Marana was the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over Sabino. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.
Not much got past Kai Colgan, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Sabino off the board. Colgan also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Marana is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brandon Collings, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Connor Ellis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Canyon del Oro's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Marana, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Marana's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Canyon del Oro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Marana, though, as they've only averaged .199. Will they be able to contain Canyon del Oro's hitters?
Everything went Canyon del Oro's way against Marana in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Canyon del Oro made off with a 14-7 win. Will Canyon del Oro repeat their success, or does Marana has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
