Uvalde won the last time they faced Southwest Legacy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) walked away with a 4-1 win over the Titans.

Uvalde let Joseph Pineda and Jared Balbuena run wild. Pineda got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Balbuena went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Pineda has posted since back in March.

Uvalde has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Southwest Legacy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Uvalde didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-4 win against Carrizo Springs on the 22nd. As for Southwest Legacy, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against McCollum on the 19th.
