Greater Dakota recap September 24, 2013
Lincoln added to the longest winning streak in Greater Dakota this week by beating Watertown, 56-24. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Patriots.
Washington took down Stevens 36-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Luke Reiter ran for 129 yards in the win.
Trevor Naasz was the best wideout in the league this week as Lincoln beat the Arrows. Naasz racked up 3 receptions for 82 yards.
Connor Burchill provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Aaron Beavers' team defeated Watertown. He completed 5 passes for 154 yards and also ran for 37 yards.
Christian Boechler put up the best numbers through the air as Rapid City Central lost to Roosevelt. He finished with a total of 13 completions for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. Boechler's favorite target this week was Asher Pikula, who caught 6 passes for 63 yards.
Reiter was the most successful running back in the league this week. Logan Raabe also contributed to the rushing game with 78 yards on the ground.
Lincoln's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Burchill has thrown for 573 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Naasz has 10 catches for 217 yards.
The Cobblers made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,614 from 6,027. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 49-13 victory over Rapid City Central last week.
