Lincoln has gone a perfect 3-0 against Pioneer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will take on the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln challenged Christopher on Wednesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 17-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three games in a row.

Carina Reuterskiold made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Keona Perez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 9-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Pioneer made easy work of Del Mar on Wednesday and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Like Lincoln, Pioneer also got a great game from a two-way player: Gina Scripoch. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits. Scripoch was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gizelle Ortiz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Emmah Ramirez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Lincoln's record is now 13-7. As for Pioneer, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-13.
Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Pioneer in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
