After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Texas Christian, The Connection School of Houston Bears were happy to have found some success on Friday. They skirted past School of the Woods 31-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as The Connection School of Houston also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading The Connection School of Houston to victory were Daniel Senofsky and Brennen Citizen. Senofsky scored 12 points, while Citizen scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Citizen has scored all season.
School of the Woods lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kieran Knight, who scored five points along with five assists and five steals. Knight is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Zagaar, who scored eight points along with five steals.
The Connection School of Houston's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for School of the Woods, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Connection School of Houston will take on Angleton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Angleton Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for School of the Woods, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Humble Christian at 7:00 p.m. Humble Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
