Creekview has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Lone Star Rangers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Creekview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while Lone Star is ranked 36th).
Last Friday, Creekview came up short against Reedy and fell 59-51.
Meanwhile, Lone Star waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 18 straight wins but they left with 19. They really took it to Turner for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-51 win at home. Lone Star has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Creekview dropped their record down to 11-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Lone Star, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.
Creekview came up short against Lone Star in their previous matchup back in January, falling 64-53. Can Creekview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
