Westlake got a great performance from William Kidder as he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave Kidder a new career-high.
At the plate, Grayson Conder was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Westlake's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-14 when he doesn't). Mason Greeno was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
