Legacy had a senior duo take command as Laila Gines almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, nine boards, and 11 steals and Alabama Nieves went 10 of 16 en route to 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gines has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshaya Hart, who posted six points and four steals.
Meanwhile, Eldorado suffered their biggest loss since January 6th on Monday. They were dealt a 63-13 defeat at the hands of Somerset Academy Losee. The loss continues a trend for the Firehawks in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.
Jasmine Rodriquez was Eldorado's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.9 points per game. As for Eldorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
