Tri-Central has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The West Central Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Tri-Central beat Frontier by the very same score they won with last week: 41-35.
Meanwhile, West Central stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Taylor 52-27. West Central pushed the score to 32-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Taylor cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Connor Marlatt, who rushed for 85 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 98 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Pilarski, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Tri-Central's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Taylor and 1-7 Clinton Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 28.4% over those games). As for West Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
