The Berkeley Springs Indians''s 19-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They secured a 27-21 W over Braxton County. The victory was just what Berkeley Springs needed coming off of a 48-0 defeat in their prior match.
Braxton County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Damon Moss, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Berkeley Springs' win bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Braxton County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Berkeley Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Braxton County will head out on the road to face off against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clay County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 372 points over their last seven games.
