In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over Pamlico Christian Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Terra Ceia Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lakin Van Essendelft continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Leah Harrison, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Pamlico Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Allee Jones scored 17 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Terra Ceia Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Pamlico Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ahoskie Christian the next time they take the court. Terra Ceia Christian will head out to face Ahoskie Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pamlico Christian Academy will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
