Basketball Recap: Muncy Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Muncy won the last time they faced Neumann Regional Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Muncy Indians walked away with a 61-54 victory over the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights.

Muncy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Rogers out in front who went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points along with eight boards and five assists. Rogers is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Stiles Eyer was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Muncy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Neumann Regional Academy lost, don't look at Andrew Walter. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave Walter a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daiton Thompson, who had 12 points.

Muncy pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game.
