On Wednesday, the Dunbar Crimson Tide faced the Ballou Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dunbar walked away with a 56-44 victory over Ballou. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Dunbar.
Gregory Lomax was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Isrial Braxton, who scored 11 points.
Dunbar is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Ballou, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Dunbar will head out on the road to face off against School Without Walls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (School Without Walls is ranked 12th, while Dunbar is ranked 14th). As for Ballou, they will be playing at home against Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
