Iroquois found their leader in underclassman Maliyah Poindexter, who scored 26 points. The contest was Poindexter's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Fifi Munezero, who scored 4 points along with 14 rebounds and 7 blocks.
Iroquois now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Hardin Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iroquois will take on Waggener at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. North Hardin Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Knox at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
