Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Heritage Academy + How To Watch

Gilbert Classical Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Heritage Academy Heroes with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Heroes: they've now won nine in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gilbert Classical Academy was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-7.

Gilbert Classical Academy can attribute much of their success to Martina Adsara Criscuolo, who had six aces and three digs.

Adsara Criscuolo wasn't the only good server: Gilbert Classical Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Looking ahead, Gilbert Classical Academy will challenge Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Academy, they will take on Willow Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
