The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Summit Charter in their matchups with Blue Ridge Early College: they've now lost six in a row.
Blue Ridge Early College was led to victory by Ethan Henson and Eric Puskarich. Henson scored 21 points along with six rebounds, while Puskarich scored 20 points along with six assists. Puskarich is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Evan Pressley, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Summit Charter dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.6 points per game. As for Blue Ridge Early College, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
Summit Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blue Ridge Early College, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hiwassee Dam at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
