Polo and Putnam County are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Polo Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Putnam County Midgets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Polo will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Polo has not done well against Milan recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Polo walked away with a 43-30 win over Milan. 43 seems to be a good number for Polo as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Putnam County came up short against Gallatin on Tuesday and fell 61-53. While losing is never fun, Putnam County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Gallatin is ranked 118th).
Polo's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Putnam County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Everything went Polo's way against Putnam County in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as Polo made off with a 47-26 win. Does Polo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Putnam County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
